Understanding Skin Types for Safe Tanning
At No 1 Tanning, your safety and results are our priority. Everyone’s skin reacts differently to UV exposure, so it's important to know your skin type before using a sunbed.
Skin Type 1 - Very Fair
Skin: pale white, often with freckles
Hair: Red or light blonde
Eyes: Light blue or green
Burns easily and never tans
Recommended: Very low UV exposure, use with caution
Skin Type 2 - Fair
Skin: Fair or light beige
Hair: Blonde or light brown
Eyes: Blue, green or grey
Usually burns and tans minimally
Recommended: Low UV exposure, short sessions.
Skin Type 3 - Medium
Skin: Light olive or beige
Hair: Dark blonde to brown
Eyes: Hazel or brown
Sometimes burns, tans gradually
Recommended: Moderate UV exposure, gradually increase session length.
Skin Type 4 - Olive or Light Brown
Skin: Naturally olive or light brown
Hair: Dark Brown

Rarely burns, tans well
